Five grants announced

The Foundation made five grants during 2010 – they included:

Phillip Rhodes for tuition and audition expenses
Terence Dennis to attend the Solti Te Kanawa Accademia
Claire Egan for tuition and audition expenses
Joanna Foote for attendance at the Solti Te Kanawa Accademia and lessons and coaching expenses
Kawiti Waetford for travelling and tution expenses

Brilliant that Kawiti Waetford is being supported. He is an extremely talented young man, committed to achieving well and works very hard to support his studies. He is the kind of singer who makes your heart stop! I heard him at the Maori Arts Awards ceremony in August last year and long with the rest of the huge audience was utterly enchanted. It's wonderful for him to have the support of such a prestigious institution.
