Emma Sloman

Emma is a trained opera singer and studied in Auckland, London and New York. She has been a soloist and chorus member with NZ Opera for over thirty years including being a former Emerging and Resident Artist. She has appeared as a soloist with Auckland Philharmonia, various choirs, Canterbury Opera and Hawkes Bay Opera.  Emma is also an arts administrator, singing teacher, youth tutor and event producer. 

Over the past twenty years, Emma has volunteered, performed and worked with Opera Factory Trust, founded by Sally Sloman, with the great honour of having Dame Kiri as it’s patron. Emma forged a relationship with hundreds of young singers who participated in its activities, many of whom have continues their careers and several with the support of the Foundation.  Emma was a member of the Opera Factory ensemble which performed in the Foundation launch concert in 2004 and has had a long association with Dame Kiri throughout her life.
